Canada’s My Favorite Robot Records returns with the 2nd in their series of split releases from the label’s core artists.
Hot on the heals of the first split release from label favorites James Teej & Kenny Glasgow, this second installment features label bosses My Favorite Robot and Montreal mainstay Jordan Dare. First up is the My Favorite Robot boys with their heads down track, “Undertow”, a dark and deep track aimed squarely at the dance floor. This is another display of why Jared and Voytek and so well respected with electronic music fans everywhere, effortlessly bringing a musicality to an intense and electronic sound and making something uniquely theirs. The second track on this split release come from Jordan Dare who began his musical career in the early nineties in his home city of Montreal and in the ensuing 2 decades took his DJ sets around the world and his musical productions to such labels as Turbo and Sodium records. Now in 2010 he teams up with one of Canada’s hottest labels again after the success of his “You Fade Out Ep” and delvers his classic mix of electro-tech, a style all his own, in the name of “Shadow Town”.
